Well, it threatened rain and rain it did, all morning! Bucketloads! But thankfully by the time Louise arrived at Knowle church, looking radiantly beautiful, the sky had all dried up and the sun was on it’s way out. Huge sighs of relief all round. Not least because Louise’s dad had, just half an hour before, been without his hired trousers for the day – cue a dash to the hire shop for a replacement with minutes to spare. I like to think it was fate’s way of making them a little late so that the weather had turned a corner by the time they arrived…
As the newlyweds emerged from the church there was barely a cloud in the sky and lots of chances for me and Debi to get some lovely natural shots in the grounds. Then the happy couple were whisked off to Nettle Hill in Ansty where Aby and her team put on a fabulous reception. Nettle Hill is surrounded by stunning countryside and is full of both picturesque and quirky spots for some lovely shots – a photographer’s dream.
The whole day had a very personal feel about it – from the name places that had been written out by Louise’s primary school class, to the cakes and biscuits baked by guests and the fake moustaches and noses for favours – there were so many little touches that said it all about Louise & Craig. They are a much loved couple with big hearts, zillions of friends and a brilliant sense of humour. I had an absolute ball! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day x
