Wedding Photography FAQs

I will arrive with the bride a couple of hours before the ceremony to quietly capture the all important preparations for the Big Day. I will then be with you all the way through until the first dance, whenever that may be. I won’t be charging you extra if the first dance is later than anticipated, it’s such an important part of the day I wouldn’t dream of disappearing before the boogying gets underway! If you would like me to stay for another hour of two to get some more photos of your guests strutting their stuff on the dance floor this can be arranged for an additional fee.

Of course, and I understand that these can be important photographs to capture. However, my style is more “reportage” in style and I focus mainly on taking natural shots rather than formal ones. Also, I am keen for you to enjoy your day with your guests rather than spending the afternoon having group photographs taken. So, I would recommend that no more than 5 or 6 group shots are taken and I am very happy to make suggestions of the sort of shots you might want to prioritise.

My aim is always to get your professionally edited images set up in your own personal viewing gallery within 6 weeks of your wedding day. However, my client galleries are often available for viewing within a shorter time frame depending on the time of year.

Absolutely. My charge is for my time on the day itself but also the post-production time editing and colour-correcting your shots so that they are the best that they can be when they reach you, ready for printing.

Yes – I will provide you with the high resolution JPEG files on a USB stick to enable you to print them at an outlet of your choice. I will retain the copyright to the photographs but you will have a licence to print them. However, this licence does not include permission to sell, modify or enter your photos into any contests.

Not at all, although I am happy to deal with printing for you through a professional lab if you would like. I can also offer enlargements, canvases etc. Please ask for further details.

Yes, your photos will be backed up in any event but I will be legally responsible for them for 12 months from the wedding date so if you would like to order an album it is best to do so within this time frame.
