About Me

Hi I’m Hannah…

It’s lovely to have you over here in my little corner of the internet. So what can I tell you about myself? Well, I have two amazing kiddos that are growing up way too fast but keep me smiling and have been teaching me what is important in this life since they came along.

Why photos mean so much to me…

I’m a self-confessed photo obsessive…every wall in my home is covered in frames, of my children, my grandparents, my parents as youngsters, my own wedding day, adventures with friends and trips around the globe. I LOVE looking back at the old photo albums my Mum copiously compiled for each year of mine and my brother’s childhood. They always come out when we want to remember a certain holiday or event and we laugh over the 80s hairdos and clothes. They jog our memories and take us back to that time. I love that nostalgia and I’m so grateful to her for documenting this for us.

Document your days…

As my children grow, it feels even more important for me to create and keep a tangible record of our adventures, but also our everyday life. Childhood is SO fleeting and all those small things we do every day, from putting on little shoes to brushing teeth and cosying up for bedtime stories are actually the framework of our little ones’ lives. And how we’ll miss these extraordinary everyday moments when they’re gone.

Why I’m passionate about Mums getting in the frame…

I know that most Mums are the memory keepers, the documenters and the photographers in their family. And this is fantastic, but it comes with one huge downside. As the chief photographer, it means that, (except for the odd selfie) you are largely absent from the beautiful record you are making for your children, their family history. And this WILL NOT do. Your kids don’t want to look back and ask where Mum was. They want to see you there, laughing with them, reading to them, tickling them, playing their favourite games and ultimately, loving them. I can help you to be in these photos, to create heirlooms for the future and bolster childhood memories. Take the picture. Get in the frame. It’s so important.

A few things I love…

Our loyal and long suffering cat, Poppy, our playful and loving miniature schnauzer, Lola, travelling to new places and experiencing different cultures, date nights at Wagamamas + the cinema, making lists, ice cold gin + tonic, Autumn, curling up with my Kindle, baking sweet things with my kids, our annual trip to France each Summer, colourful scarves, new stationery, a good cup of coffee (Neros is the best, if you’re asking), a good crime boxset, Italy (the people, the language, the weather, the food…), singing crazy loud with the kids in the car, dancing round the kitchen like no one’s watching, dinner parties with friends, having adventures in the Lake District, 90s and 00s music (obviously – the nostalgia!), crafting, dog walks + pub lunches, making memories and squeezing loved ones tight.
