A Beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon Wedding

October 22, 2014

Catherine & Simon had a warm and heartfelt wedding in a place that was very close to their hearts and is one of my favourite Warwickshire locations – Stratford-upon-Avon. The girls were full of anticipation when I met up with them in the morning at Gorgeous Obsession for hair and make up. There were lots of lovely moments between Catherine and her bridesmaids and step mum and I hope I captured some of the fun and excitement of the build up to the wedding. Bridal preparations are always one of my favourite parts of the day – I love the chaos and the girly chatter, the pampering and the croissants that nobody has any appetite to eat!

It was then back to the stunning Alveston Manor to get ready for the ceremony. And what a ceremony it was – the love in the room was palpable and it was a beautiful service full of adoring glances, proud parents and emotional onlookers. After a tasty wedding breakfast the speeches began and again there were a fair few not so dry eyes in the house (as well as a some achey cheeks from all the laughing!)

With so much to go at in the grounds and Stratford itself, the newlyweds were very kindly happy for me to whisk them away for 15 minutes after the ceremony and then another 20 minutes after their dinner to get some special couple shots. The evening light was incredible and it was hard not to walk and walk as round every corner Stratford and the river offered amazing backdrops for some beautiful shots. Thank you both for your enthusiasm for my photography and for placing your trust in me – I hope you are happy with the results!
